Hiking and climbing
Leogang is one of Austria's most popular mountain regions and offers a sensationally well-maintained network of trails and tours in summer. There's something for every level of difficulty, marked like ski slopes: easy hikes are marked blue, intermediate red, and difficult black. If you don't get on the trail directly from the farm, you can use the Leogang Card to take the buses and cable cars. They regularly take you to the starting points of idyllic trails. Climbers will also find something to their liking. Numerous trails, rock faces, and indoor halls ensure a delightful experience whatever the weather.
Mountain biking and downhill
It's absolutely insane what Leogang has put together for bikers in recent years. Even the best riders have graced the World Championships. We're talking downhill: trails and lines that whizz you down the mountains. Even if you're not riding, just watching is a pleasure. Excursion tips
Stroll across the suspended "Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps" or master the 36 hairpin bends of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road – set off to explore truly impressive destinations. The Mozart city of Salzburg, with its romantic castles, Getreidegasse, and zoo, is also not far away; you can reach the city center in about an hour by car. More tips, with or without kids? And then the winter
